For Justice

Keep shouting it,
my people, my darling
animals who see yourselves
falsely, only slightly above
the curve; hear me roaring,
hear others who cry out
for justice;

ignore your fellows
who sneer at us —
they will be as nowhere tomorrow
as they are unknowing today;
break down walls, make them
see you as you are with
guns, with pitchforks
if you have them, with torches
touched down on flimsy
builds;

note well I do not
urge love or compassion
on them but instead rail on
for setting them to fire,
to shed their blood;

better still I say again
ignore them though it is hard
to do so; don’t listen to their
laughter, their chortling madness —
it will be meaningless one day,
in ruins, they will be as left over
as spoiled meats;
now, then;

come you unto the places
they only worship in memory;
come you into the halls
they claim to revere;

set your fires to burn them,
crisp them down; sear this land
as you would any nest of wasps,
as you would chase them wailing
to extinction;

then —
after that?
