Nothing (First Light)

October cold,
cowering under
the bedclothes.

in my daily record
with a blue pen
and have a cup
of strong coffee,
milk, a little; no
sugar; then,
I sit.
Nothing has meaning
until I assign one to it.
Today?
Nothing.
