Closure

I really don’t feel as though I have much more to add to the Work. I’ve gone through several general, vague themes as I drifted through and feel like I’m spent, wasted out.

There are around 9200, 9300 poems altogether between this site and the others I’ve used, and I don’t see myself making it to the Magic Goal of 10,000. I could be wrong, but somehow I don’t see it.

I’ve already removed (or planned to remove) myself from Patreon. And I’ve given up on doing future readings of my work; the last reading at the Dirty Gerund was traumatic enough for me.

Now, I think, it’s time to make the big break — to end the Work entirely; to stop writing or at least to slow it to an occasional piece, no more.

Time, I think, has a way of slowing you down with a snicker or a firm hand.

I’ll let you know how and when I finally end this. But 8704 isn’t a bad way to close it out, I think.

Onward for now,
