Watching a show
on terraforming Mars
and can’t help but think
of Crazy Horse
when an astrobiologist says,
“To me, Mars is the lot next door.
The lot is vacant,
so why not plant a garden?”
Crazy Horse,
if you’re listening,
please accept my apologies
for us all.
All that blank red dust,
all the things we’ve learned,
yet we still think we know best.
