And so, to bed

God, i’m tired. too many late nights, too many books, too many poems in my head.

i’m off to bed. wish each other well. i wish you well.

And besides all that, my life is not nearly as interesting or eventful as your own.

Are you kidding me? Maybe when the world stops spinning so fast . . . I do have an MSN space that I share with my new husband, if you want to check that out . . . http://spaces.msn.com/members/aznewlyweds . . .

I find it hard to write poetry at the moment (perhaps because I’m too happy? is that possible?), and I think if I tried to push anything else out of this feeble brain of mine, I would hurt myself.

But I have certainly considered it. Always do.

    A previous entry . . .

“Some nights are sadder than others, I think, for all kinds of people. Like a wave travels through the air and knocks a bunch of people down, all at once.

Here’s to standing upright again, friends, beloved…to all and sundry.”

Sadder than the wave or the fact that all those people are on their backs wondering what hit them is the realization that no one could foresee it or control it. It is impossible for one mortal to control a force of the universe and kicking oneself for the sad happenstance is not going to help the people still trying to stand up. It only drives one to melancholia and depression. Bad things happen. Say a prayer for victims of chance (or send good energy to them if you should be so inclined), take some sort of lesson from the opportunities of the universe, and live like there is a giant wave just waiting to knock you down.

You still owe me an email. I miss ya.

    “G’night Mary Ellen-girl, Daddy-man, Momma-woman…”

I seem to recall hating that show with a violent passion.
