Well, well, well.

Let’s see what happens next, shall we?

the truth will remain hidden…as usual with rape cases.

what relevance the presence of another man’s semen had will never be known, because kobe’s defenders have shown that if you harass the victim enough, you can make any charge go away. but hey, the mafia has known that for decades.

on the other hand, there’s been some suggestion that this was all a result of poorly funded court system. maybe. but I can’t see how one “accidentally” posts the name and address of rape victims on a web site. I can see how that could be anything but malicious harassment.

Oh, I’m in agreement on that, Keith. This whole case was ugly from the beginning.

I’m merely suggesting that the “truth”, in this case as in who knew what when, what actually transpired between them, etc, isn’t likely to ever come out after the settlement.

    Re: Next up?

If I am not mistaken, the presumption of innocence would still be in effect here. And yes, that other semen they found was precisely what Kobe’s defense was waiting to jump on. The other DNA was only new in the USA. All of Colorado was preparing for a necktie party. Imagine the dissapointment.

    Re: Next up?

Checking out a British news source would indicate that the prosecution couldn’t get past the fact that other DNA was discovered on the victim.

My prediction? Settlement, fast, and silent, on the civil suit. And it all goes away, and the truth remains hidden.
