Westfield HO!

I’ll be the feature at Jester’s Cafe tonight, out in the strangely appealing decaying Western Massachusetts milltown of Westfield. Reading starts at about 7:30 or so and proceeds apace. If you can make it out, c’mon by; I’m pretty sure I’m starting a manic phase, so it ought to be interesting.

One of the nice things about Jester’s is that the cafe is owned by and is part of a music store that has a reasonable if not particularly distinguished line of acoustic guitars which I can peruse prior to the event.

Heck, maybe I’ll even pick one up and blame the purchase on the impulse control issues so many of us with bipolar syndrome have.

Later for this. Right now, I have to go call the guy at the Bentley dealership back; something about credit approval.

I miss you, hon. Once a year ain’t nearly enough.

When you coming East? Don’t see myself coming West anytime soon, sadly enough…

    but still…

………the thought of you feeling like you are in a mania moment AND listenin’ to bauhaus…is just so classic.

only a true sister or brother in bipolarity could understand…

    MUCH LOVE

After a few cycles, I know what you mean. I’m always afraid I’m going to be the catalyst for a crash myself.

I make light of it, but I really feel the manic phases suck worse than the depressive ones in some ways — if only because you know the crash is coming somewhere.

If you’re in the crash, the only way to go is up, y’know?

Bentleys are like horses. You should always have a pair to drive around on Sundays after church. And if you’re not going to church, that means you need at least three, right?

I’m pretty sure I’m starting a manic phase, so it ought to be interesting. nearly made me die of laughter. I once fell into the little pond near the lake of love with a most enchanting man who was also bi-polar. He was nothing if not ‘interesting.’ I hope your reading goes well.

it was pretty g.d. great =) had a good time, was proud of what i presented (at some point i’d liek to run Beer Money w/ the new guitar line by you – i think you might just like this treatment), was well-received, ran into some folks from the old Monday reading, & i think Jeff is my favoritest super hero this week: Barrista Man!

last time iwas in there, they had an upright double bass (the sexiest instrument ever, in case you were wondering) – omigod omigod omigod… & it wasn’t even that expensive as instruments of that sort go!

    Their prices are good.

Since I’m amplifying the archtop one of these days and I intend that to take the electric/acoustic slot in my collection, I’ve really got a jones on for an acoustic electric classical these days. Should never have sold mine to John Powers.

Either that or a tenor guitar…I miss my tenor. Shouldn’t have sold that either.

    Re: oh, by the way…

As if to underscore all this, I saw your post and read “marina” as “mania”.

Dark humor. I hate to think where I’d be without it.

    oh, by the way…

Right now, I have to go call the guy at the Bentley dealership back; something about credit approval.

the guy from the marina called. something about your new yacht being repainted to match a Bentley. now i understand what he was talking about.

    i’ll go find the receipts.
