Perfect (revised; was “Tuned”)

a guitar
socking into tune
each string matching its fretted neighbor’s tone when sounded together
the bell-throbbing of a not-quite-there pitch
disappearing into one clear note
shared between two

thrills me
like archery’s
pull and release
that sends an arrow
true
