Good slam last night, y’all.
Congrats to all who slammed. You made me regain some of my faith in the poetry of the slam scene.
I’m still shaking my head over “Squirrels”, though.
April — you were terrific. Jen M. was too. I was so thrilled to hear you.

thanks–i consider it a high compliment, considering the source. i have a Thought concerning the first poem you read, re: the poem vs. piece discussion. it occured to me as you were reading it (and well, i may add). i was going to say something to you about it after the reading, but you complimented me first, and i always react to compliments oddly, so i didn’t get get my wits about me properly.

dave, by that point, i think we had already come to certain conclusions about your relationships with the rodents–that one line really wasn’t the one that kicked us over the edge. it may just have increased our acceleration once we were in the air.
