During my brief tenure in insurance, I had the good fortune to briefly intern in the claims dept. – and the manager gave me a claims report to review to get a feel for all the various insurance elements in an accident.
The report was about two cars that crashed head-on on Dorchester Ave. in Boston at 2am. Each vehicle contained two people, three men and a woman, all four had blood alcohol levels over .3, and all four died in the accident.
Our insured in the case was one of the bar owners where two of the drivers had been drinking since mid-morning the day before.
Stories like this are too scary…
Needless to say I didn’t stay in claims for very long.

In another report, he went home and crashed on his bed IN THE BLOODY CLOTHES he was wearing.
If it wasn’t current news, I’d swear it was an urban legend.
